Meet the Team


Ashley - Team Member since 2020
Manager
Ashley completed her post-secondary as a Youth Worker. She moved to Victoria from Regina in 2014 to get away from the flat prairies and enjoy the wide range of scenery here on the island. Ashley began her career with youth by working in group homes for nearly 10 years. As a mom herself, Ashley is full of great ideas and excited to share her knowledge and expertise.

Savroop (Roop) - Team Member since 2016
Assistant Manager
Savroop attended UVIC majoring in Psychology. She was drawn to childcare, because she has always had a passion for assisting in making the world a little brighter for children.
Savroop is also a mother and is eager to share new ideas and knowledge in helping the children learn, play and grow!

Supervisor/ Support Worker
Katie - Team Member since 2021
Katie completed her degree of sociology in 2018 and began working with youth in group homes where she found her passion in helping kids. Katie’s favourite part of this field of work is keeping the kiddos laughing!

Emily - Team Member since 2021
Supervisor
Emily is currently studying psychology and mental health, with a hope of going into youth centered social work. She has always known that working with children was a passion of hers and is excited to learn about the kids! Emily's favourite part about working with children is listening to their stories and their creative imagination.

Maggie - Team Member since 2020
Pre-school Teacher
Maggie is originally from Ontario, however, has lived in Victoria for the past 32 years now. She has a diploma in counselling for adults and children as well as her ECEA. Her passion for children comes from being a mom of 3 and a grandmother of 3.

Rachel - Team Member since 2022
Rachel completed her ECE in 2019 and is so excited to be teaching and watch the little ones learn. Her favourite part of pre-school is being able to learn from the kids!

Forrest - Team Member since 2021
Forrest is currently in school for their ECE. Forrest loves creating fun activities and games for all the kids to enjoy. Forrest primarily works in room 20!

Brigitte - Team Member since 2022
Brigitte is currently studying at UVic and is in her last year. Brigitte loves being active with the kids and her favourite part of working with kids is seeing the world through their eyes!

Alys - Team Member since 2022
Child Care Leader
Alys is a third year psychology student at UVic, with hopes of becoming a special education teacher. Alys' favourite part about working with kids is the energy and happiness they bring with them everyday.

Kristin - Team Member since 2022
Kristen completed her Associated degree in psychology at Camosun and is currently studying mental health and addictions. She is from Ottawa Valley, where she enjoyed being involved in childcare and youth programming. Kristen's favourite part about working with kids is their unique perspective and honesty.

Hallie - Team Member since 2022
Hallie is currently in her 4th year of sociology at UVic and is hoping to pursue a career in law, focusing on the rights of refugee children/unaccompanied minors. Hallie's favourite part of working with children is their imaginations and optimism.

Hayden is hoping to become an elementary school teacher in the future. She loves the energy the kids bring to all the games we play here!

Nila - Team Member since 2022
Nila is currently in her third year at Camosun college, with plans on finishing her Bachelors of Social Work at UVIC. She spends her summers working with Youth in Alberta, and school season here. Her favourite part of working with the kids is seeing their growth and improvement.

Sue spent over 20 years working in the school district here in Victoria. Her love of children and their joy is why Sue came out of retirement to work again!
